Vellco Tyre Control:
A year of successful consolidation and environment awareness
As yet another trading year concludes Vellco Tyre Control (VTC) can look back on an exciting and successful period which has included a consolidation of many aspects of the company's business activities.
2007 will be remembered for a number of reasons including winning the TAFF Award for best environmental company and the growing success of VTC's tyre collection partners – Midland Tyre Control in the Midlands and Western Tyres in the South West of England.
At the same time the company's fleet of collection vehicles has undergone significant changes in order to take into account new EC regulations on emissions. Also, multi tasking vehicles now operate under the VTC trading banner which collect car, truck, industrial and agricultural tyres along with CAT's and exhausts thus eliminating more vehicles than necessary and enhancing the company's Carbon Footprint.
Vellco has also entered into a new partnership with Reprocessore which includes supplying cement fuel operations and granulation companies with scrap tyres therefore further enhancing the tyre recycling procedure.
John Campbell, Business Development Director at Vellco says, “We are working with a lot of companies in these fields which inspires confidence and demonstrates to our customers that they can completely trust the sound and legal procedures we take and underlines our responsibilities towards the environment.”
Vellco is also a founder member of the Tyre Recovery Association which promotes 'Best Practice' within the industry. Further proof of Vellco's total commitment comes from their ISO 14001 accreditation and VTC look forward to enhancing their position in the casing collection market during 2008. |
